Home based business leads are a cornerstone of any successful MLM businesses and learning how to reach your leads through email is an ESSENTIAL lesson to get under your belt early in the game! Email marketing can be completely overwhelming, but it’s very possible to make this task much easier to manage when you think of it in terms of steps.

The Planning Phase

Remember back to our previous article on copy writing tips. When a lead comes to your site they want to know immediately that they can find on your page what they are looking for!  In the planning stage of your email campaign, you need to consider what the client is looking for.

Brainstorm on this – why did they reach your site, what kind of salutations are the looking for? Financial solutions, stability, freedom from commuting, scheduling? Consider all that they may be looking for.

In the planning stage before you email your home based business leads, consider the following as well:

Will you use a template or create your own messages?

Will you use text messages or HTML emails?

Using email marketing soft ware will be essential if you’re dealing with a big list, auto responders – as they are referred to, will assist you to simply set up email campaigns and protect yourself from unwanted SPAM complaints.

Before you hit send, make sure your campaign is personalized. Include your name and your prospect’s name.  Nothing feels more impersonal than being addresses as “MLM Prospect” or “Potential Millionaire”, these are people just like you, they  will respond better to being called by their names. Include your name, email and always your website!

Perhaps the most important tip is to provide value in your emails! No one is going to read  a second message if they aren’t getting something from it, be that information, a good laugh, a compelling story – this is up to you to choose and to test!

Decide what info you can give and how you can deliver what the visitor was looking for when they filled out the form on the lead generation site, or on your own sales page.
